Legacy
Lake Mary High School is located in the dynamic central Florida community of Lake Mary. Founded in 1981, the Lake Mary HS Band quickly established a tradition of exceptional performance and achievement. Under the direction of Terry Pattishall, a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame, the Lake Mary bands consistently earned superior ratings at adjudicated events and represented LMHS nationally and internationally in events like the Macy’s Christmas Day Parade and the London New Year’s Day Parade.
Since then, Lake Mary bands have reliably performed at the highest possible levels. Additionally, the band has ensconced itself as an integral part of the school culture. If you say the phrase “This is my battleground” anywhere on campus, everyone will know the drum cadence on which that is based.
